Driving lessons in Wexford, with an instructor who knows your two test centres
Wexford at Killeens and Gorey at the Naomh Eanna GAA. Different roads, different routes. We teach the ones you will actually sit.
Two test centres in Wexford. We know the routes out of both.
Most people think the test is luck on the day. Actually, it is the route, and Wexford has two of them. Gorey passed 56.2% of car tests in 2023, above the 52.3% national average. Killeens came in at 48.6% the same year (RSA figures). The routes are part of that gap. Learn the right one and you give yourself the best shot.
Wexford (Killeens)
Gorey (Naomh Eanna GAA)
Lessons in your town, not a long drive away.
Wexford is a big county, from Gorey in the north down to Kilmore Quay on the coast. We match you with an instructor who covers your end of it and knows your test centre.
Wexford roads, taught by local instructors.
Most people pick a driving school on price, then learn nowhere near the route they get tested on. In Wexford that is a real problem. There are two test centres, Killeens in the town and the Naomh Eanna GAA in Gorey, and they sit you on completely different roads.
Killeens sends you into the one-way streets and the quay front, around the Bishopswater Roundabout and out the Newtown Road. Gorey starts you on the quiet Clonattin Road, then puts you on Main Street, up the hills, and through two busy right turns that catch people out every week. Knowing which centre you are sitting changes how you should practise. Gorey passed 56.2% of car tests in 2023, above the national average. Killeens came in at 48.6% the same year. The routes are part of that gap.
Then there is the bigger roads. The M11 bypasses Gorey and Enniscorthy now, the N25 runs down to Rosslare, and the N30 links New Ross. The M11 motorway is off limits until you pass, but the N25 and N30 are fast national roads the test can use, not just town driving. Learn on your roads, with the same instructor, and the test stops being a guess.
The roads you will learn on
- N11 / M11The main road up to Dublin. The M11 now bypasses Gorey, Camolin, Ferns and Enniscorthy, but as a learner you stay off the motorway and the test never uses it. You build merging and lane changes on the N11 dual carriageway and the busy roads around Wexford instead.
- N25Runs across the south from Waterford to Rosslare Europort, west of Wexford town. It crosses the New Ross bypass over the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Bridge, the longest bridge in Ireland, opened in 2020.
- N30Links New Ross and Enniscorthy through the middle of the county. Fast-moving traffic and big junctions, the kind of driving the test wants to see you handle calmly.
- R772The old N11 corridor through Inch, Gorey, Camolin and Ferns. It carries Main Street through Gorey and feeds straight into the Gorey test route, so if you learn here these are roads you will sit your test on.

The things people ask us about Wexford.
Where will I sit my driving test in Wexford?
One of two centres. Wexford town tests run from Killeens, beside Jeffares Osteopathic Clinic. The north of the county sits at the Naomh Eanna GAA complex on the Clonattin Road in Gorey. Tell us your town and we will line you up with the right one.
Do you cover the north of the county around Gorey and Courtown?
Yes. We cover Gorey, Courtown, Camolin, Ferns and the towns around them, and your instructor knows the Gorey route off the Clonattin Road. We also cover the south, the town, Rosslare, New Ross and Enniscorthy. Wherever you are in Wexford, we will sort you a local instructor.
How many lessons will I actually need?
Every learner does the twelve EDT lessons. Most people want a few more than that before the test, and the honest answer depends on how often you get behind the wheel between lessons. Your instructor will tell you straight where you are. No padding the count.
Can I learn in an automatic, or do you only teach manual?
Both. Manual is the usual choice and it keeps your full licence open to either type of car. Automatic is calmer if the gears are the thing holding you back. Tell us which you want and we will match you with an instructor and a car to suit.
Your Wexford instructor is a two-minute form away.
No payment now. Pick your town, and we will route you to a local instructor who knows your test centre, Killeens or Gorey.
